WAIT TIME & CANCELLATION POLICY
We understand things come up and sometimes unexpected events are completely unavoidable. This is why we often pad our reservations to give time for the unexpected, but it doesn’t always work! To help smooth things out, we’ve implemented a standard set of policies for everyone’s benefit:
GRACE PERIOD
A 10 minute grace period is afforded to each trip (with exception to trips with requested wait time). After 10 minutes, the trip IS subject to being considered a NO SHOW. IF our schedule allows us to wait more than 10 minutes, we charge $1.00 per minute, not to exceed one half hour. If we are forced to reschedule your trip (whether it be the same day or another day), an additional pickup fee applies.
CANCELATIONS
You can cancel your reservation by calling us at 619-885-3737 or by directly emailing us at happy2helpsd@gmail.com.
OUR CANCELATION POLICY IS AS FOLLOWS:
Wheelchair and ambulatory cancellations received BEFORE 24 hours from the scheduled trip time will be refunded the deposit minus our processing fee for a total of $35.
Ambulatory and wheelchair cancellations received WITHIN 24 hours of the scheduled trip time will forfeit the $40 deposit.
Ambulatory and wheelchair cancellations received WITHIN 2 hours of the scheduled trip time are considered a “no show” and will be charged the one-way pickup fee to include one way mileage for the method of transport that was requested.
Gurney/stretcher cancellations received BEFORE 24 hours of the scheduled trip time will be charged a flat rate of $50.
Gurney/stretcher cancellations received WITHIN 24 hours of the scheduled trip time will be charged a flat rate of $100.
Gurney/stretcher cancellations received WITHIN 2 hours will be considered a “no show” and will be charged a flat rate of $175.
EXPLANATION OF A “NO SHOW”:
If a driver arrives to a location but the client chooses not to go or cannot go for whatever reason and we did receive prior notification then this will be considered a NO SHOW. A NO SHOW will be charged one way trip mileage in addition to the one way pickup fee for the method of transport requested. As a small, family-owned black business we have a limited number of vehicles and drivers. As such, when you request a reservation, the time slot(s) are prioritized for you and you only. If for any reason you or your loved one is not able to make the scheduled reservation, please make us aware as soon as possible to avoid further complication.
